Abstract

917,173. Soldering. LUMALAMPAN A.B. Feb. 18, 1960 [Feb. 20, 1959], No. 5848/60. Class 83 (4). A soldering bit has at least the working tip thereof wholly or partly of or plated with tinned aluminium or aluminium alloy. The alloy may contain 0.4-4 preferably 0.8-2% silicon, and a small percentage of zinc. The bit may be plated with an aluminium alloy or aluminium-silicon alloy with low zinc content and then tinned with tin-zinc solder possibly containing aluminium and phosphorus. The actual soldering may be effected with tin-lead solder.
