Abstract

914,191. Fork lift trucks. ARNBAK & CO. A.S., LARS. Oct. 4, 1960 [Oct. 14, 1959], No. 33956/60. Class 78 (3). An attachment for a fork lift truck comprises a wheeled U- shaped frame 10 which embraces, and is secured to, the truck, and carries a fork lift unit 38, of larger capacity than the truck unit, unit 38 being arranged to be operated by the hydraulic system of the truck which, if necessary, is modified to provide the extra quantity of fluid required by the ram of unit 38. The frame is provided with castor wheels 46, 48, and counterweights 24 which are interconnected by a tie-bar 26 adapted to be removed to permit the truck to be driven into the frame. The frame front plate 88 is provided with a downwardly opening spring-loaded socket 94 with which the upper member 86 of the truck lifting carriage is engaged, by operation of the lifting ram on the truck, to couple the truck to the frame.
