Abstract

913,010. Hot-water boilers; tubular heatexchangers; steam generators. VOBKAUF, H. Oct. 9, 1959 [Oct. 14, 1958], No. 34381/59. Classes 64 (1), 64 (3) and 123 (2). Groups of tubes 3 in which a liquid is heated or evaporated, extend into a heating-gas flue 4 and each group comprises parallel-connected tubes, the groups being arranged are behind the other along the length of a vertical supply tube 1, each tube 3 discharging into the same supply tube from which it is branched. In the form shown, tube groups extending from one supply tube alternate with tube groups extending from another supply tube. Series flow through the tube groups connected to a tube 1 is effected by the provision of throttle members which may comprise discs 12 with a segmentshaped aperture or discs 13 with a central aperture. The tube assembly may be arranged in the flue of an oil-fired boiler (Figs. 5 and 6, not shown), or arranged as a waste-heat boiler (Fig. 7, not shown).
