Abstract
909,650. Endless conveyers; hoppers. RASMUSSON, M. B. Jan. 31, 1961, No. 3575/61. Class 78 (1). Iced lolly sticks 9 in a hopper 8 (Fig. 4) engage respective slots in an endless conveyer 9. The latter carries the sticks upwardly out of the hopper and this runs horizontally (Figs. 1 and 2). A pusher rod 73 having an inclined cam surface 73a is periodically downwardly deflected so as to push the sticks in groups of 12 into a shoot 68. From a vertical position in the shoot 68, the sticks are periodically expelled by the action of fingers 74. The conveyer comprises a chain 12 carrying spaced plates 21. The corners 32 of the trailing edges of these plates are turned up to prevent two sticks being engaged in one space. The sticks may be removed from the conveyer and prevented from engagement with it by swinging over arms 41 to a position 41a (Fig. 4). The sticks are offset laterally while moving on the conveyer to the discharge position, by a cam surface 57 (Figs. 1, 2).
