Abstract

1326391 Endless conveyers MORINAGA CONFECTIONERY CO Ltd 18 Sept 1970 [18 Sept 1969] 44709/70 Heading B8A In an apparatus for transferring groups of articles e.g. bars of chocolate from an endless conveyer 1 to an endless conveyer 19 extending laterally thereof, the articles are carried on trays 4 with lugs 41 resting on webs 5 mounted on a pair of spaced chains 2. The trays are raised by a pair of pivotal arms 38 from the conveyer 1 to a conveyer 16 with lugs 17 to advance the trays beneath a pusher 20 which is spaced a distance above the conveyer 16 to pass over the trays, which are subsequently discharged from the conveyer 16 and returned to the conveyer 1, but to engage the articles and push the same from the trays and on to a stationary support 18. The pusher 20 is mounted on a reciprocate arm 22 and on movement thereof the pusher is lowered to engage the articles on the support 18 and transfer the same on to the conveyer 19. The arms 38 and 22 are driven in synchronism with the conveyer 1.
