Abstract

909,146. Controlling hoisted loads. HALL & SON (BUILDERS) Ltd., ALEXANDER. May 17, 1961 [July 23, 1960], No. 25726/60. Class 78 (4). To deposit a load 8 on a floor 10 the load is swung into a position where wheels 5 rest on a floor 11 and the lifting rope 7 is paid out, thus swinging the load downwards and inwards until a member 4 of a device 1, 2, 3 abuts the edge of the floor 11 and the load is resting on the floor 10. As described, shackles 6, 9 are provided for attaching the rope and the load. The device may be shaped differently, or a steel plate may be welded between members 3, 4 and the parts of legs 1, 2 extending therebetween.
