Abstract

907,445. Vapour burners. ZANDER, E. May 24, 1961 [Slay 27, 1960], No. 18805/61. Class 75 (1). A vapour burner comprises a spherical combustion chamber formed by a lower hemisphere 4 containing a vaporizing dish 13, and an upper removable hemisphere 2 having an outlet nozzle 3. Inclined air inlet apertures 8 are provided in the walls of the upper and lower hemispheres. An annular air duct 6 is formed between the upper hemisphere 2 and a surrounding cover 5 provided with a handle 10. The cover 5 is attached to the upper hemisphere by ribs and flanges (not shown) and is located on the burner base 12 by pins 11. The vaporizing dish 13 is provided with radial ribs 18 and is adjustably screwed on a threaded pin 14 projecting through the bottom of the lower hemisphere 4. Fuel supplied to the lower hemisphere through a bore 24 trickles over the edge of the dish. A fan 19 driven by a motor 20 is housed within the base 12. Air supply apertures 21 in the base 12 are regulated by means of an apertured ring 22.
