Roofing comprises a plurality of troughed sheetmetal elements, each having side edges offset with respect to the bottom of the trough and projecting laterally therefrom, the elements being arranged in rows, the elements in each row being joined endto-end by soldering or welding to form a trough 1, 2, or 3, Figs. 4 or 5, of desired length, which troughs are joined together by soldering or welding the side edges of the elements in adjacent rows to form a roof of desired width. The roofing is attached to a concrete cross-beam E, Fig. 8, by steel bars F embedded at their lower ends in the concrete and attached at their upper ends to the crests of the troughs.
