Metal, roofs, walls, partitions &c., are formed of rolled section metal slats 4 each of which has along one side an inverted outwardly directed flange 5 and along an opposite side a trough constituted by an outwardly inclined portion 6, an inwardly directed portion 7, and an upstanding flange 8. As shown, a roof is formed by screwing the slots to the roof support members 10, commencing with the lower-most slot, the flanges 5 engaging in the adjacent troughs to form a weatherproof structure. In the case of a roof constructed as shown in Fig. 2 the adjacent flanges 5 at the ridge are joined by a ridge piece 11.
