Abstract

[Also in Division B5] A single pitch roof is constructed from tubular asbestos-cement beams 1 laid side-by-side to span between supporting beams 3, and interconnected by T-sectioned asbestos-cement cover strips. The beams 1 have double thickness bases, and the cover strips have transverse ribs 2<SP>11</SP> which are curved in plan with their convex sides facing up the roof, to aid drainage.
