Class 20(4) A roof truss purlin comprises a plurality of wooden bar sections 1, 2 each of shorter length than the span between adjacent roof trusses 5 and overlapping the end of the next section, the sections intermeshing with each other at the joints which are secured by nailing and/or gluing. Alternate sections 1 and the joints extend mainly across the space between the trusses while the other alternate sections 2 extend across the trusses 5. The joints in at least every second space between the roof trusses are rigid while the corresponding joints in the other alternate spans may be articulate.
