903,306. Load-handling machines. SAUNDERS, A. W., and SAUNDERS, P. G. June 14, 1960 [June 15, 1959], No. 20468/59. Class 78 (3). A tractor-mounted bale lifter comprises balegripping members 6, 7 which are hingedly mounted on a frame 5 supported at the front end of levers 1, 2 pivotally mounted at their rear ends by bars 4 on the tractor. The members 6, 7, normally held apart by a compressionspring 11, are pivoted towards one another to a gripping position by a ram 12, and the levers 1, 2 are raised and lowered by rams 13.
