Abstract

1,116,231. Agricultural implements. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. 16 June, 1965 [24 March, 1964; 27 Oct. , 1964; 14 Dec., 1964], Nos. 12430/64, 43777/64 and 50832/64. Heading A1B. A tractor is provided with front and rear tool bars 10, 13 mounted on pairs of forwardly and rearwardly extending pivoted booms 12, 15 which are so interconnected that the weight of one tool bar when raised serves in part to counterbalance the weight of the other tool bar. A hand lever may be provided which is connected by chains to the booms so that one is raised as the other is lowered. As shown the two booms are connected by a link 17 and a pin and slot connector 21 is provided so that the lowered tool bar is capable of some independent movement relatively to the raised tool bar. Brackets 22 are provided to support a soil box 23 which acts as a further counterweight and which may be placed on either booms 12 or 13.
