Abstract

898,038. Winding yarn. SDRUZENI PODNIKU TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI. Oct. 15, 1959, No. 34919/59. Class 120(2) A device for regulating the pressure between a yarn package and a driving drum during winding urges the package and drum firmly together for hard packages and acts against the weight of the package for soft or large packages. Regulation of pressure is effected by altering the point of connection between a spring and a connecting rod. The yarn package 1 is carried in a pivoted holder 3 from which hangs a rod 6 provided with a slot 11 through which passes a pin 8 secured both to an arm 9 and to a spring 14 that is anchored at its other end to a fixed lug 13. By locating the pin 8 towards the bottom of the slot 11 with the spring 14 below the pivot point 10, pressure is applied to the package 1. When the spring 14 extends above the point 10 it tends to raise the package.
