A drip tray, dividing a refrigerator into upper and lower low- and high-temperature compartments 2, 3, consists of a pan 4 having vents 4b and a cover 5 having apertures 5b, the solid parts 5a between apertures 5b normally lying on the edges of vents 4b to prevent airflow between the compartments 2, 3 and the apertures 5b allowing condensate from evaporator 1 to pass into parts 4a of the pan between the vents. To allow cold air to flow from compartment 2 to compartment 3, cover 5 is raised from the position of Fig. 2 to that of Fig. 1 as by moving its front and rear edges 7 up cam surfaces 6 mounted in the pan. One of surfaces 6 is formed as a rack to prevent the cover slipping down.
