886,888. Transformers and inductors. RESINITE CORPORATION. July 18, 1960 [April 22, 1960], No. 24905/60. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XXVIII] An inductor comprises a winding on a tube comprising layers of ethylene terrephthalate secured by polyester adhesive. Tube 16 is made by winding helically on a mandrel 12 two overlapping strips 10, 11 of " Mylor " (Registered Trade Mark), coated with said adhesive. A brass or powdered iron core may be inserted in the tube, threaded into embossed indentations, the tube being subsequently heated under vacuum to anneal the plastic. A final coating of polyester adhesive may be applied.
