Abstract

1,056,922. Transformers and inductors. BRUCE PEEBLES & CO. Ltd., and S. PALMER. Jan. 13, 1965 [Jan. 28, 1964], No. 3681/64. Heading HIT. The component conductors 2 of the multistrand conductor 1 of a transformer or reactor winding are bonded together. The bonding agent may also provide the insulation between the component conductors or enamel or paint may be used for this purpose. Paper 5 may be used to insulate the multi-strand conductor. The component conductors may be coated with a polyvinyl acetal enamel and then with a liquid thermosetting bonding agent which is not cured until after the multi-strand conductor has been wound into a coil, dried and compressed. The component conductors may be transposed.
