Abstract
1,174,587. Transformers. BRUCE PEEBLES Ltd. 6 March, 1967 [9 March, 1966], No. 10320/66. Heading H1T. A laminated transformer or reactor core inner leg 2 is fitted and bonded, e.g. by adhesive, into a corresponding notch 7 in a yoke. Yokes 4, 5 integral with outer legs 1, 3 may be wound from a continuous steel strip. The planes of the laminations in the inner leg are parallel to the longitudinal axis of this leg but perpendicular to the laminations in the yokes. The outer legs may be cut through at 6 to allow positioning of windings on the core, after which the faces at 6 and the notches 7 are ground, etched and bonded with a rigid insulating adhesive.
