Abstract
1,015,229. Transformers. MASCHINENFABRIK OERLIKON. Aug. 4, 1964 [Aug. 13, 1963], No. 31072/64. Heading H1T. A transformer or other apparatus is provided with magnetic members 2 (Fig. 1) which provide a high permeability path for leakage flux and are arranged to surround the axes of the core limbs 4, 5 and 1, to abut the yokes. The laminations of the members 2, 2 (Fig. 2, not shown), may be secured together by tape, bolts or synthetic resin bonding and they may be arranged in line with the space between the primary and secondary windings 6, which are provided with independent compressors 12, 13, The lower member 2<SP>1</SP> may be embedded in an insulating spacer and the members 2, 2<SP>1</SP> may have their edges rounded and insulated. The edges of the members 2, 2<SP>1</SP> may be shaped to fit closely or approximately to the yokes (Figs. 3a-4b, not shown).
