Abstract

1,102,562. Inductors. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 20 May, 1965 [25 May, 1964], No. 21485/64. Heading HIT. The non-magnetic insulating core member 40 inside a reactor winding 10 is secured to a surrounding laminated magnetic framework 20, 21, 22, 23, to prevent flexing of the latter with alternations of the reactor current. The laminated framework may comprise packets of laminations separated by wooden spacers and clamped between steel frames. The magnetic framework includes one or more insulating gaps 24.
