Abstract

883,340. Nuts &c. BRITISH SCREW CO. Ltd. March 25, 1959 [Aug. 19, 1958], No. 26584/58. Class 89(1). A sealing nut comprises a body 1 of a tough, corrosion-resistant, synthetic resin, e.g. hard polyethylene, formed with a portion 3 containing a screwed nut member 5, and a skirt 2 which, in use, seals against a workpiece, e.g. a corrugated roofing sheet. A rib 8 inside the skirt engages and seals the bolt-receiving hole in the workpiece.
