Abstract

929,176. Washers &c. BRITISH SCREW CO. Ltd. Feb. 25, 1960 [Feb. 25, 1959], No. 6466/59. Class 89 (1). [Also in Group XXVI] A sealing washer comprises a hollow domed body 10 moulded from synthetic resin, rubber or the like with a peripheral sealing flange 12, a fastener-receiving hole 15 through the crown of the body, a boss 13 projecting from the crown away from flange 12, and an internal sealing lip 16. In use, the washer is deformed so that the boss is engaged by a recess 18 in a bolt-head or a nut-bearing face, lip 16 seals against a hole 21 in, e.g., a roofing panel 20 and flange 12 seals against the surface of the panel.
