A cap screw comprises a collar 12 having a flange 17 and a bore 15 for the head 11 of the screw 10, and a smaller bore 14 surrounding the shank of the screw, and a cover 18 having a flange 19 which snaps over the flange 17 and covers the head 11 of the screw. The collar 12 and cover 18 may be of metal or plastic material.
