Abstract
882,202. Gas-turbine plants. ENTWICKLUNGSBAU PIRNA VEB. Feb. 27, 1958, No. 6322/58. Class 110 (3). [Also in Group XI] A device for injecting liquid and colloidal fuels into the combustion chamber 7 of a gas or hot air turbine comprises a wheel 4 mounted on a shaft 3 and having on one side an annular chamber 5 fed with fuel through channels 2 and on the other side a surface 6a, 6b which diverges from the axis of rotation and along which the fuel flows to be thrown from the edge thereof in atomized form. The fuel passes along ducts 8 from one side of the wheel to the other. The ducts 8 and the channels 2 also diverge from the axis of rotation. Air is supplied to the combustion chamber through an annular swirl chamber 9 and through an annular body 10 having an outlet 11 leading directly to the combustion chamber and a second outlet 12 leading to a gap 13 between the fuel discharge surface 6a, 6b of the wheel and the body 10.
