Abstract
878,785. Spray burners. PARSONS & MARINE ENGINEERING TURBINE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION. June 13, 1960 [Aug. 5, 1959], No. 26770/59. Class 75(1). An oil burner comprises a conical swirl chamber having a plurality of tangential fuel inlet orifices d, e disposed at different radial distances from the axis of the swirl chamber and a sleeve c which is moved axially to cut off the supply of fuel to one or more of the inlet orifices d, e. The sleeve may be connected to a device arranged to vary the pressure of the fuel supply.
