Abstract
881,135. Ventilating unit enclosures. SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN A.B. Dec. 10, 1959 [Dec. 10, 1958], No. 42030/59. Class 20(2) An enclosure for room ventilating units 2, Fig. 2 disposed at outer walls of buildings comprises a frame structure secured to the floor and/or wall to which is secured a vertical front wall 5 and a top wall 4 preferably level with a window sill 3, both the frame structure and walls being formed of sheet iron profiles of channel section with inwardly bent edges 10b, Fig. 5, said profiles being joined by flat bars 9a, 9b extending transversely within the profiles and connected by screws 8. Apertures 12 in the base of one of the profiles provides access to the screw 8 or to a nut thereon. The inwardly bent edges 10a, 10b of the profiles are serrated at 11 to increase the rigidity of the joint. The top wall 4 of the enclosure includes discharge grilles 15 and the front wall 5 includes some readily detachable profiles fixed by resilient rails 13, 14 to provide access to the ventilating unit.
