Abstract

660,834. Building units. ROBERTSON CO., H. H. Jan. 14, 1949, No. 1121/49. Class 87(i) A building unit comprises two metal plates 12, 14, of which one may be corrugated, secured together in spaced relation by metal channel members 16 fixed to at least one plate by welding so as to leave the outer face of the plate smooth. The channel member 16, which may have holes 38 and may be of coated metal as described in Specification 391,936, is fixed by a flanged member 28 engaging an aperture therein. A felt sheet 19 may be secured to the inner face of the corrugated or one of the flat metal plates and the space between this and the other plate is filled with glass fibre boards 18. The side edges of the plates 12, 14 are bent to form tongues 20 and grooves 22. At the tbutting horizontal edges of two units, the edges of the metal plates are. offset for interengagement.
