Abstract

625,462. Building units. STORRAR, J. Jan. 2, 1948, No. 348/47. [Class 87(i)] The walls 13 of an evacuated hollow metal building unit are prevented from collapsing by a corrugated metal sheet 15. Short non-metallic distance pieces 16 are provided between the sheet 15 and the outer walls of the unit. The edges of the unit may be recessed, rebated or tongued and grooved, and the metal sheets may be coated with sound insulating &c. material.
