[Class 140] [Also in Group X] Partitions or wall structures for rooms and other compartments comprise one or two panellings 2 of a solid non-metallic base material having a decorative front surface 3, which may be of sheet metal, and a supporting structure 1 of corrugated sheet metal attached directly to the rear face or faces of the base material to form a substantially rigid structure without the use of frames, the channels of the corrugations being left unfilled to form air spaces. In the construction shown the walls forming the corner of a room are each of the form including two panellings, which may be of cork, and have their surfaces 3, which may be of aluminium, extended and bent as at 3a and 3b to engage, by sliding, in grooves of a pillar 5. Holes or slots 4 are formed in the structure 1 to allow for air circulation and for the passage of service pipes and electric cables. In a structure incorporating only one panel, Fig. 1 (not shown) the exposed face of the corrugated member 1 is laid against a wall.
