Abstract

669,866. Ventilation. FOWLER, L. J., and WEATHERFOIL HEATING SYSTEMS. Ltd. July 21, 1950 [July 27. 1949], No. 19795/49. Class 137 Ventilating- apparatus i s installed in the double walls between the rooms of a building constructed of prefabricated metal sections, and comprises a metal framework which is covered with metal sheeting to form, with an adjacent wall of the room, an air chamber, air inlets and outlets, being provided in the wall, and a heater unit which is of such dimensions as to fit closely between the double walls. As shown, the framework 21, which is installed in the cupboard space provided between two rooms 11, 12, Fig. 1, is formed from a T-shaped structure the latter being covered with aluminium alloy sheeting to form air chambers 23, 24. Air inlets 25, 28 and air outlets 25, 26 are formed in walls 14, 15. Suspended from the framework in each chamber 23, 24 by tension rods 35 are heating, or cooling, water pipes 30, 31 each supporting by means of tension rods 36 a fan plate 37 or 38. The latter having felt pads at their corners, carry fans 40 and motors 41. Inspection panels 42; 43 are provided in the sides of the framework, a top covering being provided for the latter when it does not reach the ceiling. Specification 665,711 is referred to.
