880,095. Ignition generators. ATELIERS DE LA MOTOBECANE. Nov. 29, 1957 [Nov. 29, 1956], No. 37329/57. Class 35. [Also in Group XXVII] A two-stroke single-cylinder I.C. engine, suitable for autocycles having transmission by a tubular friction roller 16 on to a tyre 17, includes a crank-shaft 8 which passes through a cylindrical extension 11 disposed at one side only of a crank-case 1, is mounted in two bearings 9, 10, has overhung within the crank-case 1 a single crank web 19 which incorporates the field magnet not shown of a magneto, and has mounted on the end remote from the crank web 19 a flywheel 15 to which is fixed the friction roller 16, which houses in a recess 33 at its outer end the magneto contact breaker 14. A conductor 34 from an ignition coil 30 runs through dust- and mud-excluding baffles 36 and an elastic seal ring 37 within the friction roller 16.
