Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease an engine noise level by providing an annular shaft center fixing member between cylinder block and crank case on a crankshaft end at flywheel side and counter side thereto. CONSTITUTION:Annular shaft center fixing members 12, 12' of hard plastic are provided between a cylinder block 1 and a crank case 6 through which the end of a crankshaft 4 on flywheel 8 side penetrates to surround the crankshaft 4. The shaft center fixing members 12, 12' are interposed between a support member 13 screwed on the side of the cylinder block 1 and another support member 14 screwed on the side of the crank case 6. Since the crankshaft 4 has its shaft center retained firmly by the shaft center fixing members 12, 12', mechanical vibrations by the crankshaft 4 are kept effectively from being transferred outward.
