Abstract

807,325. Centrifugal separators. FIAT S. P. A. Feb. 13, 1957 [June 5, 1956; Oct. 31, 1956(2)] No. 4932/57. Class 23 [Also in Groups XXVII and XXXIV] A centrifugal filter, mounted on the end of a crank-shaft extension 2b of an internal combustion engine, comprises a hollow casing 13, Fig. 1, having internal vanes 13a and a cover plate 20. The casing 13 is secured to the extension 2b by means of a key 12 and a lock-nut 14. A stamped baffle plate 15 is mounted on the extention 2b. In a modification, a filter comprises a cylindrical casing 69, Fig. 3, having a spiral rib 69a. In a further modification, a filter consists of two parts 13, 20, Fig. 4 secured to each other by screws 55, and a dished baffle 75.
