878,856. Rudders. READY METAL CO. Ltd. May 19, 1960 [Sept. 1, 1959], No. 29838/59. Class 114. A rudder comprises a stock 1 having a pintle 15 supported in a lug 2 and by a web 17 for rotation in a slotted bearing sleeve 19 secured to the stem of the boat through lugs 20 and a blade 12 pivotally supported by a bolt 13 in a channel 14 in the stock. The stock has at its top a sleeve portion 3 to receive the tiller 3a and a channel 4 for a rope 6 by which the rudder blade is pulled up. The blade may be held down by a rope 23 attached thereto at 24.
