872,798. Securing wiper arms on shafts. SWF-SPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER G. RAU G.m.b.H. June 2, 1959 [July 3, 1958], No. 18746/59. Class 80 (2). The mounting head 3 of a windscreen wiper arm has an internally-splined socket 4 sliding over. the splined end 2 of a shaft 1, a catch 6 on a pin 5 formed with a slotted head 51 engaging behind the splined shaft end to prevent the head from being pulled off the shaft. A detent 61 holds the catch 6 in the position shown, turning the pin 5 &c., rotating the catch to an unlocked position clear of the splined shaft end 2 in which it is again held by the detent, so that the mounting-head 3 can be withdrawn from the shaft 1.
