Fuel injection pumps 15 and cooling fans 15a of a Vee-engine are driven from a crank-shaft-powered gear 19 respectively via a rigid sleeve 26 and a flexible shaft 27 both splined to the gear 19. The sleeve 26 has a gear 30 meshing pump driving gears 31 and the shaft 27 mounts a fan drive gear 36.
