Abstract
869,689. Transformers. COLE Ltd., E. K., and MARSDEN, E. W. March 10, 1960 [April 8, 1959], No. 11798/59. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XXXVI] The adjustable ferrite core members R, S of a high-frequency transformer, or other inductive device, are carried on screwed nylon spindles R1, S1 operating in tapped undersize holes in synthetic rubber bushes D1, D2 which grip between them the tubular former C carrying the windings A, B. The bushes have squared ends fitting into apertures in the end K of the screen can L and the plastic closure plate M which is retained in place and prevented from rotating by lugs W1, W2 and V1, V2, X (Fig. 3), pressed out from the wall of the can. The can may be held to a chassis by self-tapping screws passing through apertures formed by other lugs. Capacitors T1, T2 are attached to plate M by stiff leads as shown.
