[Also in Group XXVIII] In an underfloor draught fireplace fitted in an outside wall, in which combustion air passes to an ashpit a having a central front valve-controlled air inlet b, a tube d has one end e connected to the inlet b so that it may swivel about the inlet, a lateral portion d, and an end f turned back towards the outside wall where it is secured after any necessary swivelling about the inlet b to an air supply pipe h extending through the wall. The tube may be formed in two parts bolted at i and lugs (not shown) on the end e limit entry of the inlet b. Specification 677,553 is referred to.
