A dip-brazed heat exchange apparatus is formed from an alloy comprising by weight:- .Zn.4.5-5.5% .Mg.0.75-1.25% .Cu.0-0.5% .Mn.0-0.7% .Si.0-0.2% .Fe.0-0.25% .Ti.0-0.2% .Cr.0-0.2% Al remainder, except for ununavoidable impurities
