Abstract
Metal tubes are joined to form a bicycle frame (see Group XXII) by an aluminium alloy comprising 6 per cent to 15 per cent silicon, 10 per cent to 28 per cent zinc, 0.1 per cent to 1.0 per cent each of chromium, manganese and magnesium, the remainder being aluminium and some impurities. In examples, the aluminium alloy contains 19 per cent zinc, 11 per cent silicon and either 0.1 per cent or 0.5 per cent each of manganese, magnesium and chromium.
