Abstract

A copper casting alloy comprises:- .Mn.9.-.18% .Zn.7.1.-.12% .Al.4.5.-.7.5% .Ni.0.05.-.4% .Fe.1.-.3 the balance, apart from impurities (e.g. up to 0.2% Si), being copper in an amount of at least 65%. The alloy may be modified by the addition of up to 0.25% Ti, when up to 0.06%C as an impurity may be present.
