A magnesium base alloy has the following percentage composition:- Al 0.05 - 0.3 Si 1 - 1.7 Be 0 - 0.1 Ca 0 - 0.4 Mn 0 - 0.25 Zn 0 - 0.1 The alloy is particularly suitable for canning fuel in a nuclear reactor.
