Abstract

855,593. Nesting chairs. MILLER Inc., H. April 23, 1957, No. 12881/57. Class 52(2) Stackable chairs have pairs of splayed legs 24, 28 at each side connected by brace members 40 which support the corresponding brace members of a superposed chair. The brace member on one side has a hook 42 while that on the other side has a loop so that adjacent chairs can be coupled in rows as set out in Specification 855,594. The seat and back are moulded integrally, preferably in fibre glass, and have adhesively secured rubber or like pads 33 under the seat with internal bushes for securing screws 47 by which straps 31 welded to cross-bars connecting the upper ends of the legs are fastened to the seats.
