Abstract

A rocking chair in which the legs 16, 18 of the chair are mounted, at their lower ends, on two rockers 24 spaced apart and having convexly curved lower edges extending in the fore-and-aft direction. The rockers 24 rest on a base structure 25 comprising support members 26 on which the lower edges of the rockers rest respectively, and guide members 28 projecting upwardly from the support members to prevent lateral movement of the rockers as the chair rocks. Detachable catches 29, 30 may be provided to fasten the rockers to the base structure 25 if required. <IMAGE>
