F of a seat or table and the -ends of the back and arm-rests G, H, I, where provided, are inturned to serve as spacers extending inwardly between top and bottom plates A, B constituting the supporting surface. The structure may be of wood or metal, in the latter case the legs &c. may be tubular and the parts secured by welding. When wood is used adhesives or screws may be employed as securing means.
