A moving-coil loud-speaker with a perforated diaphragm 2 is mounted in a cabinet 1 with imperforate walls. The dimensions of the perforations 3 are chosen so that the diaphragm and the cabinet have the same resonant frequency. In Fig. 3, the perforations 3 formed in the corrugated edge of the cone reduce the stiffness thereof.
