The component parts of an electromagnetic sound receiver are so designed that the frequency curve approaches that of a more expensive type of microphone. In the lower part of the transmission range the diaphragm oscillates in a predominantly frictionally or mass retarded state. In the upper part of the range the oscillation is predominantly elastically retarded.
