Abstract

852,471. Endless-chain conveyers. MASSEYFERGUSON Inc. Feb. 19, 1957 [Feb. 27, 1956], No. 5590/57. Class 78 (1). In a harvester the crop is conveyed from the harvesting table 10 into the body 12 of the machine through a housing 18 by an elevator 40 comprising a pair of parallel chains 62, 63, crop engaging member 90 secured to the chains and extending to the side walls, and drums 42, 66 rotatably mounted within the housing, the former having peripheral guides 92, 94 for the chains and the latter being provided with sprockets 88, 89 for driving the chains. The shaft 44 of the drum 42 is mounted in the ends of arms 48, 49 which are mounted rotatably on a stationary bolt 50 projecting through slots in the casing. The bolt is held by eyebolts 55 which are adjustably mounted in brackets 57 on the casing.
