Abstract

851,191. Sails. DELL QUAY YACHT YARD Ltd. July 15, 1959 [April 16, 1958], No. 12126/58. Class 115. A slide A for attachment to the sail C of a boat and adapted to slide in a track in or on the mast, spar or boom thereof, has a head or cross member a which fits within the slide track b in (Fig. 4) or on (Fig. 5) the mast B and a second member a<SP>1</SP>, by which the slide is affixed to the sail, extending from the head or cross member a, the sides of the second member a<SP>1</SP> tapering towards each other, a groove or shoulder being formed in each side of the second member at a3 to be engaged by the slide track b. Fig. 4 shows a hollow metal mast with a wall b<SP>3</SP> forming a cavity b4 which, with the edges bl forms the slide track of sufficient depth to receive the head or cross member a or a bolt rope.
