Abstract

Class 59 In a roller mill comprising a fixed roller 4 and a co-operating adjustable roller 12 the bearings 14 of which are secured to pivotally-mounted oscillatable levers 15, a rotatable spindle 24 is arranged to act on an adjusting lever 18 pivotally mounted on a transverse member 16 connecting the levers 15, the spindle 24 being adjustable axially by means of an eccentrically-mounted spindle nut 38. The nut 38 is journalled in fixed bearings 39 by means of eccentrics 52 which are each connected by means of a lever 48 to a spindle 49 which is adjustable in a nut 50 by means of a hand-wheel 51. The spindle 24 is supported on a transverse bar 23 of the adjusting lever 18 and has extending therethrough a spindle 22 which is adjustable in a transverse member 40 between which and the bar 23 are arranged compression springs 21.
